Failure to adapt to conditions was England's downfall, says Eoin Morgan

England, previously the only unbeaten team left in the eight-strong one-day global tournament and huge favourites to defeat Pakistan, were bowled out for just 211 in Cardiff on Wednesday.

Hasan has bounced back from that onslaught by taking three wickets from each of his next three games, including 3-35 at Sophia Gardens on Wednesday as Pakistan thrashed England by eight wickets in the semifinals.

However, Morgan did give credit to the Pakistan bowlers for restricting England to 211 in 49.5 overs.

"I think going into today's game knowing that we were going to play on a used wicket potentially brought Pakistan's game closer to their home. But if we are under pressure then I think India are under more pressure compared to us due to their huge population and the love for the game among common public", Mortaza said at the pre-match press conference.

"They had the chance to show this new breed of English one-day cricket on a knockout stage but just didn't show their true form today".

Pakistan will now take on the victor of today's match - the second semi-final to be played between India and Bangladesh. "We didn't hit one six yesterday, despite hitting 23 in our group games".

Fakhar, who replaced Ahmed Shehzad after Pakistan's defeat to India and went on to score 31, 50 and 57 in all successive matches, can rightly be called a "lucky charm" for the Green Shirts.

Inzamam ul Haq‏: This is what I envisioned for Pakistan, a team that can take up any challenge and fightback like they mean it.

Pakistan had collapsed to 162 for seven chasing 237 against Sri Lanka but, two days on, there was no repeat of that batting slump.

Having won all three group games on their way to reaching the last four, Eoin Morgan's team saved their worst to last as Pakistan belied their status as the lowest-ranked team in the tournament to pull off a shock victory. I thought they bowled really well. "We adapted to the conditions, we knew if we restricted them we could easily chase it down".

Mortaza added, "Obviously we have been disappointed, especially in India T20 World Cup we couldn't go through. Now we are in the final", he said.

"They have cricketers who are skilled, who are committed to play for Bangladesh and play with a lot of passion".

"I think (Amir) has a little bit of back spasm".

The 25-year-old Rumman, originally summoned as an injury replacement for Wahab Riaz after the fast bowler suffered a tournament-ending ankle injury against India, has represented Pakistan in two Twenty20 Internationals to date.

"Finishing third or fourth, I think that's about right where we sit in world cricket at the moment".
