Champion Warriors might snub White House -- if invited

Whomever is the GM of this team going forward, they're going to have to figure out a way to reshape a roster that is top-heavy on salaries.

After joining the Warriors in July 2016 - a decision which caused shockwaves in the National Basketball Association world among talk of a GSW "super team" - it took Durant just one season to win his first championship.

James said he had no reason to feel sorry for himself. "He's had an unbelievable career, but he just took it to the next level", said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Green wore a t-shirt at Thursday's championship parade and rally in Oakland, California that read, "Quickie", with the "Q" styled to mimic the Cavaliers arena, which is referred to as The Q. Green told NBC Bay Area the shirt reflected the Warriors quick win over the Cavaliers.

Most believe it was the addition of All-Star forward Kevin Durant that put the Warriors over the top to claim their second title in three years.

Keeping vital role players in addition to their four superstars will go a long way in keeping them in the NBA Finals for many years to come.

Fans line up early for Warriors celebration
The championship was the first of forward Kevin Durant's career, and the NBA Finals' Most Valuable Player took in the moment. Whatever it is, the big-money contract will be a hefty raise from the $12 million he earned on the way to a 16-1 postseason.

"We learned from everything we've been through", Curry said during the trophy celebration.

The Golden State Warriors twirled T-shirts over their heads and waved to the crowd from atop double-decker buses as blue and yellow confetti rained down on them during a parade Thursday to celebrate the team's latest championship.

"We just won a championship, and I can guarantee that wasn't on anybody's mind as we were enjoying this", Finals MVP Kevin Durant said Wednesday.

"Frankly, I think it's why Trump couldn't be more ill-suited to be president, because he's a blowhard", Kerr said in an interview. On average, his Finals opponent have been on average 3.28 points better than his teams. ". I'm sure we will have a conversation about it pretty soon". Nothing should distract from what we were able to accomplish together and the different kind of ceremonies that have happened around championship-winning teams.

But unlike last year's comeback when they took advantage of Harrison Barnes' offensive struggles, Durant answered every charge during a 39-point night and Cleveland will need to find new answers if these teams meet in a fourth straight Finals next season. "We don't want that to taint what we've accomplished this year so we'll handle that accordingly and responsibly and do the right thing for us individually and as a group".
